About Us
We are a fully accredited four-year Bible College, in full partnership with several theological schools and seminaries, which means that all credits earned here are fully transferable towards any degree they offer. Norfolk Theological Seminary and College is the current name of our school, but when it was originally founded it 1992 the name of the school was Rhema College. The school began as a vision from God, and the vision was to build an institution of higher learning where His people could come and be thoroughly trained for His service.
Norfolk Theological Seminary and College is different from most seminaries in the sense that you will be spiritually fed under the anointing of the Holy Spirit. We understand that everyone's calling is not the same, and God has uniquely equipped us all for kingdom service; so we strive to take you from wherever you are on your spiritual journey and help you get to where God has called you to be.
At Norfolk Theological Seminary and College' you will find a strong emphasis on the spiritual aspects of education and ministry. We strive to create a spiritual atmosphere in our classrooms, chapels, and collaborative ministry assignments. You will find that we also have a strong emphasis on high academic excellence. "Seek that you might excel" is the motto we use to characterize excellence.

Our mission is to provide biblical, theological and academic education that will aid your growth in spiritual transformation and equip you for effective ministry. Norfolk Theological Seminary and College is an institution of higher learning that exists to bring glory to God through the work of the Holy Spirit. A vision given by God to effectively, train and equip leaders and lay persons from all denominations and background who are compelled to “Study to show thyself approved unto God a workman that needed not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” II Timothy 2:15
